All about us

Our club is based within the grounds of the Metropolitan Bushey on Aldenham Road, Bushey.
We are open to all and you don't have to have a connection to the Met Police force in order to join us.
You have to be a member of the main club which is currently £60 for a single membership and £100 for a couple. This includes car parking, 10% off food and drink, reduced room hire. For more information visit the Metropolitan Bushey Website.  The bowls club annual membership is £25.
The season runs between mid April and mid September.

As a club we have roll ups, internal club competitions, friendly and league matches with other clubs. Members also participate in District & County matches and competitions. There is a match fee for friendly and league matches.
Subject to rink availability members can access the green and equipment at any time for practice. Rinks are available the vast majority of the time.

Tuesday evenings starting at 545pm and ending around 8pm we run a league which is aimed at new members including new bowlers. We charge £2 and the money is split between the club and the winning team. Any winnings are handed out at our presentation lunch which is normally held in November.
Thursday afternoons from 2-4pm there is a club roll up and normally a coach is present to assist you if needed.
At our club we are very fortunate to have 5 qualified coaches who would love to introduce you to the game of bowls.
There is no charge for coaching so please take advantage of the opportunity to give bowls a try.
